I've just got a 1070 and loving the card so far.

How can I stop it starting to sag? Is there some kind of bracket I can purchase to prevent this by supporting the card

I've never had any sag with GPU's, make sure you support the card level before tightning
the PCI support screws'

Failing that ... errr Viagra perhaps.

As above; you shouldn't be seeing sag if it's installed correctly, considering it no doubt is backplated to stop twist.

My system is wired so the PCI-E power cables come from above the card and actually help support that corner considerably.

If you can't get it to sit flat then either strong string or fishing line tied from above somewhere or something to prop from below e.g wooden choptsick cut to suit.

Some cards just sag due to the weight of the cooler, doesn't matter how tightly screwed in they are to the pci backplate. My 2 strix cards have a bit of sag to them that's despite the fact asus have a reinforcement bracket built into them and they both have back plates.

Thanks guys, its definitely seated properly and lined up with the rear fitting brackets properly its just a heavy card (zotac amp extreme). I'll have a sniff around google but I thought something would have been popular in the uk as this seems common with some gpu's.

There are a few DIY ways to prop it up like Lego, cutting a piece of wood/plastic to size, fishing wire, etc.

If you want a proper product then I know there is some kind of brace made by MDPC I think the name is? In America though so you would have to import.

Not a bit of wonder its sagging, that card should come with 2 metal girders and planning permission to install it  HUUUUGE heatsink.

I'd doubt it's as heavy as a Kingpin, and the don't sag, loosen off the screws lift it up a bit and retighten, as mentioned you can use pretty much anything as a prop, Biro pen tube cut to size, bit of wood clothespeg... etc etc, paint to suit your colour scheme.

I've used one of these for mounting 120mm fans against a GPU heatsink. You could mount it so as to offer support to the sagging card, place a bit of foam/rubber where it makes contact to null vibration, just be sure fans can spin freely.

Temporary fix until we move....

I had a 670 DCU2 which sagged so much that attempting to straighten it with a support made it overheat because it forced the cooling surface away from the chip.

Stupid bloody thing!

Had the same issue with the strix, i got 2 of those puget brackets and while it straightened the card it seemed to move the cooler slightly.
