Alright ive had this system for a while now, and have always had some problems..

q9550
4 gig ddr2
p5q-e mobo
bfg 280gtx ocx
625w enermax modu82+ psu

Ive had problems with texture corruption in games, and what appear to be video lockups of some kind for ages..

I recently started playing wow again and saw terrible problems with textures.. Artifacts on screen too, though the game was running fine underneath, i could still talk to people and move around, i just couldnt see what i was doing most of the time :(

Anyway, someone suggested my psu maybe having issues with the card as its factory overclocked and draws a lot of amps or something (I dont know very much about power issues) and i should try using rivatuner to clock it down to a default 280gtx and see what happens.

I tried doing that, and voila, all the video corruption gone, everything is perfect again..

So now im left with a question (And thanks for reading this far). Is this my video card, or is it my psu? I dont really know how to check, and no one nearby has stuff i can switch out to check if its the card..

imo its either your psu not giving enough juice or possibly your video card is overheating, what temps is it reaching under load?

Ah sorry I should have mentioned temps too :)

Ive monitored it carefully during games and it never gets above 75 degrees..

Edit just realised i should have put this in general hardware i guess.. Could even be the motherboard?

Ive checked the memory and it seems fine..
