Anyone suggest the best free software for using with mediaplayer for playing xvid and divx

Anyway, stop using mediaplayer and go get yourself VLC instead.

I use KMP to playback all my videos and have doen for perhaps a year now, and in all the time I have been using it, I have never needed to use any form of codec pack at all, or at least if I have, its by magic, cos it works on PCs that go nowhere near the internet too!
