Video Conferencing Help. ASAP.

Hi.
Ive been trying to setup a webcam link to another country via MSN. But for some reason, its not working. It'll just keep loading the webcam, then the call will cancel. Webcams work on both ends.
Could it be a proxy problem? Doubt it personallly as MSN works otherwise.

Can someone suggest another, free, video conferencing application to do the same job?

Sounds like a firewall or NAT issue. Do you have ports open for MSN on both routers?

One 'router' is an ISA Server, the other is an unknown.
MSN itself connects, reports as fine, and IM works perfectly.
But the video call will spend ages 'loading' then it'll do nothing for a while, then disconnect saying that 'the video call cannot be made at this time, please try again later'.

The MSN Messenger port numbers below are taken from (amongst others) PortForward.com and Experts Exchange discussions Q20968914 and Q20660861.

Unfortunately, trying to block MSN Messenger ports doesn't work because of the wide range of ports including port 80 that MSN Messenger uses:

* TCP port 80 (the 'http' standard web port - see also Web Messenger blocking)
* TCP port 1863
* TCP port 6901 (possibly)
* TCP ports 6891 to 6900.
* UDP on ports 1503, 3389, 5004-65535

Yahoo messenger (either signup for yahoo email or i think you can use msn address).

Or try Eyeball Chat, used it for a while but went back to MSN.

Yeah. According to how ive set the ISA, all of them are open. But still not working.

Tryed about 3-4 video messaging apps, none of them will work for some reason.
Ah well.

Are the logs in ISA showing anything?

If its being blocked (sounds like it is) there will be some form of log.
