hi, i have some files on my PC mpeg that i was to change to avi what would be the best program for this.

I use Nero Recode 12 but it's not free unless you get a dodgy download.

What file type are your files ?

You could always google 'file type to avi converter'.

Just make sure not to install the free toolbar and your be fine its easy to use and quick

file types are mainly mpeg1 and mpeg2
i will try them out and hope one a simply converter.

right on Handbrake the only output options are mkv and am4. so al try Nero Recode 12 if i can find a sample download

Yeah, well I assumed a little basic knowledge of the tinterweb when I suggested that. It is possible to download freeware without all the annoying added crap, you just need to be careful.
