Video converting software

I use AVS Video Converter which works a treat to convert videos to MP4 format for my Iphone.....but a 1.4GB movie takes over an hour to convert. Obviously this is dependant on the processor etc etc, but is there any better software out there that can convert to MP4 quicker than this?

No other reason but impatience here

I use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate. Not sure how long it takes to do 1.4GB files but I have also used AVS and didn't like it as much. Conversion does take time though.

Videora iPhone Converter is free and works brilliantly. It converts a 700Mb file in about 15 minutes for me.
