Video editing 4k

Hello all
I have now 4k capable camera gh4 ,but I have no way to edit the footage on my PC Adobe premier elements doesn't support 4k and cs6 is subscription fee now ,a route I don't want to go down
I have been recommended the edius software by a reputable source ,has anyone experience of this software ,
My PC is now dated also so a upgrade refresh is on the cards ,I'm also tempted by apple and final cut don't know what limitations I will incur with this ,
I should download a 30 day trial to experiment the edius software
I also have no way of viewing 4k footage but 4k downscaled to 1080 is supposed to be very good with good options for cropping etc
Any info would be appreciated.

Yes I know this the top 3 supporting 4k I forgot to mention sony Vegas as well .has anyone used edius as an editor and how does it perform ,think it's meant to be one of the quickest ,

what I meant to point out would buying an Apple Mac with final cut ,be a better option than a system refresh with edius
.got a quote for a system refresh with edius for 1300 pound ie new mob,graphics card,processor(haswell) and 2tb drives in raid ,
problem with edius if want to output 4k it's another 600 pound for a dedicated edius card .

The adobe route seems to be a subscription only so I want to avoid it.

Ok the card business I got wrong it's actually an I/O device for 4k viewing ,the software is going to be unavoidable if I'm going to progress to 4k ,and quite possible that I'll need new mob and processor for good fast video editing ,although my pre sandy bridge i7 and mob has been capable ,thing is id do the upgrades myself but not completely computer savvy ,don't mind swapping out the odd hard drive or graphics card

im no expert but it looks pretty convincing to me.
ill also look into the sony vegas as im more likely to use ultra hd 4k than c4k as its 25p as opposed to 24p

yes i want to forget adobe except i need lightroom 6 to support gh4 raw files
