Hi there,

I need a new laptop and would love to be able to video edit on it. My PC has died - that had 2Gb of RAM, a x1950pro 512Mb and a core 2 6600 (I think...) and seemed to be just about the minimum that could cope with video (I film in HD).

Can I get one for a realistic price (i.e. as much under a grand as possible).

Cheers!

PD

P.s. HD space isn't an issue as everything is external.

Maybe we should spec you some on,line games to play while you wait for times worse than Capital first western trains for your videos to encode lol

Though i do believe a budget of £1500 to £2000 should see some ok results

What is your budget?

Lol I wait for up to a fair few hours on my desktop!

I'm a skydiving videographer and as such videos are only a touch over a minute long each.

I don't mind it taking ages as long as it will let me actually run the application smoothly.

Just looking at the Dell Precision M6300 - any pointers?

video editing get a macbook or macbook pro stick final cut pro on it and u have a industry level video laptop :D

OK guys, cheers!

What can I do with regards to heat issues?

What do you think of this (HP Pavillion DV7T) for £900?
