Video editing software

Hey everyone. Im looking for either a free or relatively cheap video editing software similar to premiere. I tried Windows movie maker and found it was somewhat lacking. Anyone here know of any good software and where I could get it relatively cheap?

look for premiere elements, not cheap but its similar to premiere but cheaper

thanks for the response. Guess im just gonna have to cough up then lol.

edit:- seems people have been having compatability problems with elements and vista which is what I use at home. Anyone else used and experienced problems with it?
