Video Editing Software

Hi all,

Been at my cousins wedding recently and I was doing all the videos. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any software I could use to edit the videos, cut parts out, add music etc and turn it into one large video file without losing any quality

I have used Ulead ages ago at college ... Any other recommendations??

Sony Vegas is superb. It's not free mind.

If you're looking for something free try one of the AVIdemux builds. Not as good as Vegas but not bad for a freebie.

This is an interesting alternative to movie maker, freeware that include screen capture.

Lightworks used to be the best free, open source video editor around - praised by lifehacker quite a few times - but seems to have gained some restrictions in the free build over the years.

Or if your a vlc fan you could try VideoLanMovie Creator but that's very much work in progress.

Microsoft Movie Maker is a good for home use.

Used this before but it is a bit basic / rubbish lol

PowerDirector is good as well; my Dad uses this all the time.

I am quite busy with work at the moment but will use these when I get around to it and let you know which one I use
