Hi all, I have a video taken from a Canon eos 7d camera. Its just under 10 minutes long but its about 3gb! I want to cut a bit of the start off and maybe compress it so I can upload it?

Im not sure what software to use, I dont seem to have windows movie maker on my PC and I cant find it on windows update - I have tried adobe premier but the video I exported is poor quality and the aspect got messed up.

suggestions for something simple and user friendly would be great, freeware if poss

cheers

If you want free then virtual dub can do it. It's not the most user friendly in my opinion but it can't hurt to try

cheers! everytime i looked for movie maker it said to go to windows update!

Im hoping its going to be simple enough to feed my video in and get some results without having to adjust lots of settings :)

What version of Adobe Premiere are you using ? .
I use Premiere CS4/CS5 which has many different export options which are all customizable , maybe you just have to try different export settings to get the right one for your content.
Sony Vegas 10 is another good video editing program , you can download a free trial from the sony creative site .
