Hey guys, doing this for work, someone needs a video editing machine, mostly to use with Premiere, After Effects (cs5) and to get the most out fo these pieces of software for editing & building movie files.

Looking to get a machine from OcUK ready made as we aren't really getting smiles when asking about bringing it in in pieces & building it!

Currently got this much down so far, any thoughts:

BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming Case - Black
Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket 1155 Processor - Retail
Zero Infinity Phantom Knight CPU Cooler - Black
Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz C11 Dual Channel Memory Kit
MSI HD 5450 1024MB GDDR5
Intel 330 Series 60GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM
OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)
OnBoard Sound Card
PC Power & Cooling Silencer MK III Series 600W 80 Plus Bronze Modular Power Supply - White
Fully Cable Managed
Microsoft Ready Basic Optical Mouse - Black
Tech Labs Zaward OEM 120mm Golf Ball Fan
BenQ GW2250HM 22
Op Out of FREE Software

Totals up for £834, which is a tad over budget but mybe something we can swing, I ideally wanted to stick with an i7, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD and the 60GB SSD.

Is that from the System Configurator?

What you need to do is order one of the systems, or design one using the system configurator, and then you can ring OcUK to swap any parts you would like changing before it's built.

I'm sure someone will be able to advise you on the particular choice of components.

Yes, this is from the system configurator, I was really just checking everything out from the spec I have chosen, but may call about swapping out the monitor for a few more 2TB's.

Thanks for your time, is there any way to create it & get a reference code to run by the people at OcUK helpdesk, or do I just spec it out over the phone to run by them? :)

Could you not choose the 500watt pc power and cooling PSU? to save a little bit of money?

also if you ring ocuk. shout out spec and tell them exactly how you want it. they will be able to do it all for you over phone.

Alternatively you could post in customer service section of forum and im sure 5UB will sort you out.

Just an fyi, I specc'd up my system for the same thing last year, and given the sort of apps that will be installed on here, I'd get a bigger SSD as well. I've got a Force 3 120GB and I'm teetering on the edge of 96GB at the moment.

I've got a few games installed, but even with those taken away and just the pro apps installed it's over 60GB.

Thanks for the advice on that dav, I think Windows + Office + Premiere Elements should be fine, I've actually spoke to 5ub and specced up a 32GB machine so I can get a 16GB RAMDISK as a scratch disk for Premiere :)
