I have a file which i would like to put on my ps3 but its 4.5gb and fat32 cant do more than 4gb at any time so i am looking for a program which will enable me to cut say the starting credits and end credits which will hopefully bring it under 4gb.....So is there any programs out there?

Cutting the credits won't reduce it by half a gig (well I doubt it anyway). You'll probably need to re-encode it with a smaller bit rate.

But... hang on... isn't this in the wrong forum??

Have a look at something like virtualdub.

What file format is it? For size reduction .wmv is a good format to convert it to, but depends what the PS3 accepts.

well it is currently .mp4 and i would like to keep it in full hd as thats what it is in now......can .wmv be full hd :/...all my other files were pre converted into .m2ts and they work fine as far as i know .mwv does work as does .mp4 and .avi but thing is i cant copy it across as the ps3 wont copy more than 4gb so if i could edit and chop credits e.t.c it might reduce it to 4gb or below? will that work?

If you have no other editing software, import it into Windows Movie Maker, put it on the timeline, then select publish to this computer. Fiddle with the options so it is full HD and .wmv and press publish. Leave it to do it, and when it's finished you should have the file on your computer, and will probably be less than 4Gb.

If WMM cant do it you may want to get some encoding software.

Ok i have got a video convertor.....Its asking what profile i convert to
is it
H.264,24000KBPS,23.976 fps
H.264,24000KBPS,24 fps
MPEG-2,24000KBPS,23.976 fps
MPEG-2,24000KBPS,24 fps
Which do i choose or does it not matter?
