Video File Sizes?

Hi all.

I've just captured part of a movie from my Camcorder using Virtual Dub.

It's compressed with Xvid at 400x300. The audio is at 48kbs mp3.

It's around 3 mins long yet it's 75ish MB? Surely that is too big?

I can convert it to .flv and it's around 10MB but the quality is awful, even with everything ticked to high.

Am I choosing all the wrong settings or something?

Just the standard mp3 codec mate. I've got the lame one, how do I install it?

Also I thought divX was pretty much equivalent to xvid in terms of file size?

Cheers.
