Looking for some free software that I can use to chop up video files.
Anyone got any decent suggestions?
 
There's Avidemux and its GNU General Public License/free and one can cut/edit video files and one can do it without re-encoding the cut video though there's options too.

There is always VirtualDub (mod or 2.0) though a bit outdated software now and a bit of a learning curve, or if you want something a bit more advanced DaVinci Resolve.
