Can anyone tell what cables and software are required to connect my pc to a plasma tv.
My TV has a vga connector but how do i get sound to the tv?

Does your TV have a audio in jack! or the red and white RCA connectors.

What windows are you using.

I have a home cinema system in the same room and I`m using windows xp. My tv also has rca connectors in the rear.

No software required. If it has a VGA in (most plasma's do) then just go from your graphics card out (be VGA or DVI) straight into your TV.

Then just go from your standard output from either your soundcard or on-board mobo sound into your amp.

I stick mine into the Optical DVD input (my card has optical out) on my Yamaha amp and set the audio to pass through mode so that the amp is decoding the 5.1 instead of the PC

If you are connecting to your monitor at the same time you may have to go into your drivers and turn dual-monitor capability. All depends on your drivers, hardware etc.

TIP - be sure to the screensaver on to minimise the risk of 'Burn-in' on your screen.

Ive got the same set, best bet is to use a VGA lead but the screens native resolution is 1024x769 (anamorphic pixels) so you'll need to set whatever media player you use to compensate for this otherwise it will appear over stretched.
