just wondering what format do most people store their videos in and what do they use to write them to dvd w/ nero.

Currently I'm Divx converting and then I have a divx dvd player however it doesnt have enough quality for my liking so want to upgrade my storage etc..

So any ideas?

Dont want to use too much space HDD wise as have a hell of a lot of vids (currently 600mb for an hour)

Some **** :(

768 x 576 mpg2
which is 1.9gb an hour

then convert to divx 700x400 codec6
which is 600mb per hour

Would i be best by starting with a better tv card?

To be more correct the divx;

Created with: DivX Converter 6.0.3
Video Codec: DivX Pro Codec 6.0
Video Resolution: 720x400
Video Framerate: 25.00
Duration: 01:49:58
Codec Settings:

Dtv?? Whats that??

All i do is select mpeg2 high quality and then just chuck it into divx convertor and it converts it all so i didnt know it lower the resolution..

what does g-knot actually do??

Also is the x264 thing still going to work on my divx dvd player or is it totally different and can you burn the x264 files into dvd video format?
