Hi there,

I have searched around the forum and the web looking for an answer but I just don't know what to look for.

I know my GFX card (2900Xt) has video in but I don't know how to use it.

I want to be able to play videos onto the PC and either record or just be able to watch what ever it is on the pc.

Basicly, how do you get video in to work? Is there a program I need or is there something in the CCC I can use?

Cheers in advance!

does it have an s-video port (round port) if so you can get a rca to s-video adaptor and input video in that way. for sound use a stereo rca to 3.5mm stereo jack into your line in.

when i used to play the playstation thru the computer i had a tv card and software. so presumably you would need some kind of video capture software. was there none of any sort bundled with the card?

http://www.blazemp.com/video_capture_software.htm anything like?

Yeh it has an s-video port and a yellow phono in.

I can connect things up to it no problem but what do you do then? Can plug stuff in but then what?

I will have a look at that program but I have Vista and i'm sure everyone knows how much of pain it is.

Cheers!

Can't you use Movie Maker (part of Windows) to capture ?

Would imagine most video-editing software allows capture this way......

Hey there,

Cheers for the replies:)

I have tried both the above.

That program took ages to install:confused: and then crashed. I belive this to vista's fault though.

The movie maker that is in Vista doesn't seem to have any option where I can select anything...let alone my video in.

Anybody know anyway to get Video in working in Vista I guess I should re-name the question to:rolleyes: Although I don't know how to do it in XP (unless the above ways work in XP)

Cheers!

Dont ATI/AMD have something on there webby media center sure it has some sort of capture program in it.
PS. not %100 sure the 2900 does in and out my OCuk model only has out i think.
