Video management software?

Hi all,

Does such a piece of software exist: I have lots of generically named video files from GoPros - which are jumbled up and full of random scenes/clips. Is there any software that would allow me to index them, or categorize them, or add comments to them, and time bookmarks? That way, when I need to find a particular one, it's easy...

Final Cut Pro X will do all that, it was actually one of the biggest changes compared to the previous versions in that it tries to keep everything online in an organised library of events, which you can then set keywords, ratings and bookmark times within the clips.

Obviously not much use if you don't have a Mac, but perhaps Adobe Premiere offers similar now? I've not used it in ages.
