Hi all Recently if you've not heard that video mirroring is no longer supported on the latest Nvidia 8800 series cards. This is an problem for me and a lot of other people as well since i cant extend my desktop to my 32" HDTV to view my media.

Was just wondering though, are there any TV cards or other types of PCI-E hardware out there that i could use for extending my destop to my TV for video mirroring?

Ive also cloning my desktop to my TV but the TV basicly lowers the screen resolution of my Monitor since that is set to 1680x1050.

Im sure theres a few people who have these issues as well

Any idears on additional hardware just to try to get this back?

Thanks:)

Hmm, I still do what I did on my 6800Ultra and 7800GTX and 7900GTX.

I use Desktop extension, I see my Windows desktop on Both Monitor and TV, all icons are on Monitor as TV is the extension.

I then watch movies etc on TV with Monitor free to view other things.

Is this what you need ?.

I do know the Mirror options you talk about but never seen need to even use them.

Yes this is what i need. it basicly only shows applications such as windows media player when you play a film or use some other program for a presentation ect. The option is supported with all older Nvidia cards such as the 6800 and 7800,7900 series cards its only recently that they stopped this option on the 8800 series and later cards. ATI does still support it i think but there cards dont benchmark well.

Theres got to be some sort of additional hardware out there to support this feature?

Thanks
