Video, MP4 file editing (Splitting the file)

Hello,

Just had some old VHS and Hi8 tapes converted to DVD.

I've used Handbreak to convert the DVD to a MP4 file.

I now have a 60 minute MP4 file, I need to split this one large file in to 4 files.

Any advice/info would be great.

Why do you need to split them?

Are you talking about making 4 smaller movies or just splitting the file? In the case of the later then something like HJ-Split may be what your looking for or any other compressor like RAR.

If you're looking at the other then there are a few free MP4 splitters.

Avidemux does a good job of it. Make sure you select MP4 (or whatever container you're using) before exporting.
