video on 2142 and bf2 (fixes)

haha, i love it when the dude asks why should i buy 2142 instead of quake wars.
the answer is lame, 'i trust dice@stockholme to come up with something that will impress me' :rolleyes: what a poor answer, quake wars for me i think.

Why bring out a new game when they can't even get their existing game server to run smoothly. No way in hell will I be getting another dice game - I have uninstalled BF2 due to the painfully laggy game server and nobody playing on any of the new maps.

Pretty much a marketing response that, be interesting to see what one turns out to be better though.
 
it will be indeed. i think peoples opinions of the EA/dice are that low though that it could make a great difference to the amount of games EA will sell.
for me, ill be going with quake wars initially, but if 2142 turns out to be a 'cant liver without' title and a lot of the people i know are playing it then i will probably buy it anyways. i just hope people do make EA/dice notice what a **** up they made with the problems with BF2 and can change it, they should be able to afterall theyve not invested a lot of cash in a new game engine so they should be able to have tweaked it by now.

Those are the biggest asskissers ea could find that weren't likely to storm the stage and slap that guy stupid while burning a dice flag.
 
The guy in that video is called Colin Clark, hes the community manager for DICE, and hes actually doing a pretty good job.

I have spoken with him (not in person obviously, but on a forum) about points and he is actively taking feedback, and responding to it on the 1.4 BETA and its new map.

Errol will testify to my scepticisim toward EA/DICE but he is doing a good job at the moment, and restored at least some of my faith in them. As for the game not running smoothly. If you have had problems with it not being smooth, please try 1.4 BETA....a lot of people are saying it has been considerably improved!
