Video on iPhone

Is anyone else having difficulty getting video on their iPhone?

I have loads of recorded TV on my media centre that I used to convert to AVI and watch on my Archos. I want to do the same with my iPhone, but every time I convert a file and try to sync it to the phone iTunes says it can't be played.

I've recording the programmes with media centre as .dvr-ms files. MCE Buddy then converts the files to .avi files (h264 720p). Finally I've used VLC and Videora to convert to iPhone sized meg4.

I just can't get it to work.

Any clues or do I just have to roll a six to start?

AFAIK it has to be 320x480 MPEG4/H.264 25fps

try using "Videora iPod Converter"

It has worked every time for me using MPEG4, and I have tried the following settings...

640x480 - Bitrate 1200, Adio Bitrate 80, Sample Rate 44,100

Going to try 320x480 the next time to reduce file size.

That's done the trick. I was using 320x480 before.

Also found out that you shouldn't include .'s in the output title.

Try using iPodME, does everything for you.

I use Super video converter, very good it is too.
