So i'm using VLC to play my video files, but I find that its quite buggy and often crashes or freezes while playing video. Is there anything which supports divx/xvid and is less buggy than VLC?

out of curiosity, what do you find buggy about VLC? the problems I've had with it have been with the file I'm trying to play - on any platform, it's been nothing but the best video player I could hope for

Sorry, one last question, whats the best way to remove things I installed with a package installer? I want to get rid of mplayer.

It seems to struggle playing full screen for some reason. Also when switching between full screen and windowed, when you resize the player it messes up, posting the video onto the window frame. Its kind of odd.

As for the video files, I haven't had any problems playing them on windows or linux platforms. Even using VLC on those platforms!

Spotlight the stuff and delete it until I go do some research for you. :p

Uhm.. Can't seem to find anything, sorry. :(

I get the same and always have done with OS X version of VLC :(

Usually package installers come with an uninstaller.

Best advice is try downloading the installer again, and poke around in the disk image :)
