Hi guys i currently run my xbox via HDMI on a Samsung 40" 1080p tv....

All games run fine on my tv except Dead Rising (max output 1080i) and resident evil 5 (obviously can run on 1080p)...

When i play either game at certain times eg cut scenes etc the image starts to tear (i'll try and get some pictures taken) but like at the top quarter of the screen it there will be like a cut in the image with both sides of the cut not insync. Like i said i only get it with these 2 games... played loads of games and movies on my tv in the last half a year and no problems.

Any clue at all to what the problem could be ?? i thought it was just dead rising until i bought resident evil 5...

Thanks in adv

Hi

The screen tearing you are seeing is because capcom has disabled a feature called v-sync in those games this helps to keep the framerate up but it also causes screen tearing which is what you are seeing.

so basically capcom couldnt get there game engine to run smoothly with v-sync turned on so they disabled it and there nothing we can do about it its just something we have to put up with.
