Hey guys,

Just bought a x1900xtx and it's awesome.
Just wondered what video settings I should be using on games.
Considering resolutions, AA and AF.
I mainly play World of Warcraft and CS:Source.

Could someone explain the above terms and forward some recommended settings?

Cheers Josh

Anti aliasing (aa) smooths the edges of graphics removing the jagged edges.

Anisotropic filtering (af) makes textures appear sharper over a longer distance rather than them blurring after a certain distance.

See this pic for what AF does;

For cs source youd be able to set everything up full and play it easily, WOW im not too sure as ive never played it, but id assume the same for that game. :)

enjoy your new card!

Thanks...

Ok Guys thanks, really appreciate help.
So does upping the resolution to like 1280 x 980 or whatever improve performace?
Oh yeah somebody asked, I have an Athlon X2 4400+
