Right. I have a 700Mb avi file on my PC, and a nice big lcd tv downstairs with a VGA input thingy.
I copy the avi file onto my externat hard drive (It throws up an box saying 'Are you sure you want to copy this file without its properties', whatever this means). I then copy it from the external drive onto my laptop, and give it a test play to make sure it works. It does.
I go downstairs, plug the laptop into TV, using the Nvidia control panel to set the TV to display the same thing as the laptop monitor. Then I try and play the video. Media player opens, sound comes out, but no picture.
Try media player classic. No picture. I've unplugged the TV, installed the latest ffdshow, restarted, but nothing works. Since plugging into the TV, I'm unable to play any video files, they just display nothing.
Latop is running XP SP2.
