Well folks it about time I finally setup some video streaming and general video recording for business use (laser tattoo removal, digital photography, web design, graphic design, IT...the list goes on) anyway it's about time I caught up with the latest tech and get some opinions from you all.

Hardware wise I currently have:
Nikon D3200 slr
Logitech C920 webcam

software wise:
Adobe CC collection
Use fraps for video capture on pc?

Looking at the quality of video and sound and practicality I reckon I need a webcam (the one above? it's not mine so I can easily buy another if there's better)/green screen if I were to use twitch? and a mic (audio technica 2020 USB?) if live streaming and using a general headset (tritton one for ps3 which I use for pc too) for listening to the game audio.

Any other videos I record generally I reckon buy an external mic for the SLR and use this as it would be higher quality than all of the above and would just have to spend a while syncing the video and audio?

Thoughts/ideas people about the above setup?

Just to bear in mind a family member is going to USA in a week so discounted prices over there! :)

I'm a little confused you have a DSLR but want to use a webcam to record your videos? Use the DSLR to record you as well, just get a tripod stand.
Will this PC be used just for editing and rendering business videos.

What format/size will these videos be?
Whata the budget for the build?

Take into considratiom warranty issues and import duty if buying from USA.

I don't know how much more advanced webcam technologies have become in recent years compared to what they used to be. I didn't know if they were still practically unusable or not.

Some webcam work may be used for things like Twitch.

My existing laptop will be used to edit/render videos for the time being (asus n55sl).

Format/size. I wouldn't know they're primarily for things like Youtube and for putting on a website.

Budget it all depends on the pricing of things for quality. e.g a rubbish mic would be £20 and barely last a year. a £70 option would do quite well but £150 would last ten years then I'd want to know about the top two options.

As a round figure for what I already have and not including a new PC which I will be acquiring in the near future. To buy webcams/Mic's/screens etc lets say £300 maximum for everything.

Warranty issues I would have thought wouldn't be a problem for global sized companies like logitech and import duty wouldn't be an issue as it would be brought back through via hand luggage.

First year warranty may need to go through the retailer it was bought from, may cause issues if this was to happen.

I would look at the http://www.bluemic.com/ range of microphones as they're very good and used by a lot of YouTubers/streamers.

OBS is a great piece of software for streaming to Twitch also, recommend you check that out, it's also free.

How many pieces of hardware do you require?

Blast I was hoping it would be straight to manufacturer.

Bluemic - I was looking at the yeti as the quality seemed to be a fair bit better for the price vs the snowball but then I was closely comparing the yeti to the audio technic 2020 and the versatility/size between the two products vs quality and I think the 2020 stood out as you could also put it on a mic stand, easier to acquire additional parts for it and it wasn't so bulky. Still somewhat undecided though.

If webcam technology is still fairly primitive then I reckon record with the Nikon d3200 primarily, buy a generic shotgun mic for it (£30 ish?) and do most of the recording with this.

Then use the other mic (blue/audio technic) for voiceovers and using a webcam for live work such as twitch?

Sounds reasonable, I'm far from an expert in audio tech, I just know the rep around bluemic etc. If the one you've picked is decent then go with that.

I guess some webcams are decent now with the ability of 1080p streaming and such, but I would expect. 50+ price tag. I'd be inclined to make full use of the camera to record video.

It may be possible for warranty to the manufacturer but they can send you to the retailer if the first year is still valid.
