Hi all,
i guess this could in many different threads, but chose this. Please move if need be.
I have been tasked with creating a video wall consisting of 4 screens. Now its not simply to collectively use them as one big screen.
They want to show different content on each screen as and when they want.
This IS NOT digital signage; in its simplest form its a multiple monitor setup, but it needs to be intuitively controlled.
Currently the guy who will ultimately operate it runs a 2012 MacBook Pro; i'm not sure that will cut the mustard, but he uses imovies to quickly and easily edit the video clips he needs to show on each screen.
If it were a pc then simply buying the correct type and amount of GPU's would see me right i think.
However i wonder if there is some kind of HDMI box that all screens (monitors or TV's not decided yet) can connect into with a single connection into the MacBook Pro and software to run/control it all.
Oh.....i might go for 4 x 32" smart TVs, that way we can also have different TV channels (mainly sports) on each screen (with volume muted obvs). I'd use a harmony remote to control each TV to avoid having 4 remotes waiting to get broken or lost.
I'm certainly new to this, so any advice offered would be most appreciated.
Cheers
