it stays dark for about 2 mins and then it goes normal to normal brightness and some times it doesnt change from being dark at all.

does any one know what i could do about it? thanks

Could be a deinterlacing problem. If rebooting doesn't solve it, have you tried simply reinstalling the app?

it does it on all videos. windows media player it happens when watchin on that. and real player and videos on websites etc

Try this > Right click the NVIDIA icon in the taskbar and select Colour Correction, when the NVIDIA control panel pops up you will see a dropdown menu labeled Apply colour changes to: in this dropdown menu you will see three options, Desktop, Overlay and All, select All and click Apply then click OK.

Hope this helps!

there's no difference when copying files.. just disable av and any normal pc should copy roughly at the same speed as a new pc -if the same hard drives are used

Damn, I feel outdated with my 3000+ :(

What about codecs? Could they be the problem, do you have FFDShow and is it set proper?
