Hi got a problem just bought a Video Mate Vista E900F PCIe tv card and installed it into my pc with no problems apart from the software cannot find the device ive checked the bios of the MB and it is not reading it either but it is showing up in device manager i have updated the driver of the card there is a new version out and tryed changing the PCIe slot still no joy can anyone help?

Don't use the software or drivers that came with it, more headaches than it's worth. Let windows update install the drivers. If it's installed correctly (shows as 'VideoMate SAA***X AvStream Video Capture' in device manager) use Windows Media Center.

I uninstalled the software that came with the TV card and the driver now cannot find the TV card in device manager and is still not in bios either.
I have a ASRock X79 Champion Mb with the latest bios flash (P1.90) any idears ?

Is there an unknown device listed. If there is right click it and 'Update Driver Software' - slect the automatic option.
If there's no unknown device listed and it doesn't appear under 'Sound, video and game controllers' then you have a hardware problem. Shutdown and reseat the card then boot up. I noticed with mine the card tends to get pulled out of it's slot. A little bend of the backplate (outwards) should fix that.

okay, then windows media center should find it and do all the scans for you. In media center go Settings> TV> TV Signal> Set Up TV Signal.

Then I think you have a hardware problem. The card and it's interface are being seen as it has installed properly. But something is stopping software from seeing the chip on the card. Might be bad news.
