Hi,

I was just trying to have a game of Half-Life2, the menus just wouldn't load. After a while the screen went to 'standby' and the PC rebooted a few seconds later.

I found out when I booted back up that it was in fact a blue screen... but without the blue screen.

I debugged the minidump & it came back saying VIDEOPRT.SYS made the PC crash.

Any ideas how I can reinstall this file please?

Thanks,
Craig.

Googling about various forums brings up quite a few things that could be causing it. Could be the gfx driver, ram related, corruption in windows and so on.
If it was me I would try reinstalling the gfx drivers to begin with, if not fixed after that run memtest though the pc.
