Videos lagging?

Had this across to formats and 2 different sets of CPU and gpu. My videos all stutter at 1080p. It just seems like the fps is around half my monitor refresh rate maybe lower. Anyone got any fixes for this?

What playback software?
Try VLC, if you already have it then uninstall it, reboot PC and reinstall it

And make sure your chipset drivers are up to date

Yeah I was using VLC. But my point is I've done it from 3 fresh installs now and still getting the issue. I got an SSD yesterday so I'm in the middle of doing a fresh install again once everything is up to date I'll see again and let you know.

Are you able to get a video of it stuttering?

I recently had a playback issue but this was solved by either..
Updating all motherboard drivers
Cleanly re-installing VLC.

Do you get the stuttering problems in other things, such as YouTube?
