I've had to scale down my old 5.1 system to a soundbar due to space constraints.
Viera link is enabled.
With the old 5.1 system, I simply changed the audio out setting in viera tools to 'home cinema'. The 5.1 system then turned on/off with the TV and the TV speakers were automatically muted once the 5.1 system warmed up.
I followed the same setup process with the Panasonic soundbar. It all works fine initially but once the TV has been woken up from standby for the first time, the TV speakers become the default in viera tools. The TV speakers do not switch off when the soundbar initialises, I end up with sound from both until I set viera tools back to home cinema.
I have to change to home cinema again for the TV speakers to switch off.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?
