I've barely been in the country for long after a few very busy weeks. I went to Vietnam for the first time with work, and stayed a few extra days for some sightseeing. It's been on my wish list for a long time as it looks like a simply incredible country, having spent less than a week there, I can say it didn't disappoint!

Here's some photos from there, first up - Hanoi.

What trip to northern Vietnam would be complete without a visit to Ha long Bay. I decided to go on a two day, one night stay cruise there. For about £100 fully included I really recommend it! A simply astonishing place.

On my penultimate day I was taken to Trang An, about 100km south of Hanoi. I had no idea what to expect as it was recommended to me. We went on a really long boat tour, during which it chucked it down! Made for some interesting photos at least! I can only really describe it as a sort of inland Ha Long Bay - another really amazing place.

I took over 1000 photos while I was there, so these are just a handful. There's plenty more and more of a write up here: https://danfreemanphoto.exposure.co/vietnam

Thanks for looking!

Just out of curiosity, what camera and lenses did you take?

As the post says at the bottom, Fuji X-T1 and various lenses. The 23mm 1.4 is my main 'go to' lens, but I tend to use the 18-55mm or 35mm quite a bit too.

Such a great camera, I can't recommend it enough. Small and light, and it has all of the main controls etc you need.

Can't wait for the X-T2, but as the X-T1 is such a great camera I don't know how they can top it!

Tenderly?!

God damn you autocorrect!

lol I thought not to ask ;)

I love vietnam!

One of the benefits of moving to Asia was having all of these 'bucket list' locations so close to my home.

Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang have been achieved so far.

I am planning one of my best friend's stag do in September (he is still based in London).....and Vietnam is on my list of potential destinations, along with Thailand and Singapore.

Such a cheap place once you get there. Very nice hotels for £40-50 a night, food and beers are dirt cheap too. I advise anyone to go there if you're into that sort of holiday.
