I want to view images that take up the entire 1080p TV regardless of resolution, most of the time images have black bars at the sides, if its a portrait shot and even black bars at the top or bottom even though the resolution is higher than 1080P. Preferably i want to change windows 7 settings to simply maximize pictures views in slideshow rather than having to converts them all into 1080p or using a 3rd part program?

assuming you're using the default image viewer in slideshow mode, you can't change any settings for that so you'll need to find some third party software.

if you want the image to fill the whole screen then you have 2 choices: either stretch which is highly undesirable or crop which fills the screen but removes portions of the image to retain the correct aspect. now given 1080p is widescreen, using the crop option is going to be very troublesome for portrait pictures - especially of people - because their heads are likely to get chopped off. i suppose another option is to find something that crops by chopping the bottom off an image and focusing on the top.

sorry but i don't know of any software that will do it.
