So...i have a window in my pc case, and i was woundering how i could see the air flow, when the air actually comes in and how to exits the case, ie which fan takes the most air out.

Do you think dry ice would work and would it damage anything as it passed through the case.

or what else could we use ?

when me and a couple of mates stayed a mates house for a mini lan, we had a shesha pipe going, and we were blowing the smoke through the case, lol

on the antec 900, was suprising how much of the smoke came out the top fan, was interestin at the time, lol

Hummm, now that sounds like a fun experiment. but the wife might have somting to say if i brough that home! lol

might pop to ******s tomorrow and see how much a smoke machine would be!!!

There are some specialist kinds of matches you can buy that give off smoke for purposes like this, remember something being said about them or something similar not too long ago, would be an interesting experiment, as you say :-)

Appantly smoke is dust???

Well according to wiki it's "the collection of airborne solid and liquid particulates and gases emitted when a material undergoes combustion or pyrolysis, together with the quantity of air that is entrained or otherwise mixed into the mass."

Couldn't have said it simpler myself.. :)

Although I wouldn't have a problem blowing smoke through my machine, just for the airflow experiment.

Willing to bet a quid that you will not see anything remotely resembling the laminar flow you think you are going to see. I reckon regardless of how tidy your case is it will simply turn into a turbulent haze if you introduce a smoke source in font of your intake fan.
