Not sure what I should get.
I want to watch my print on my phone (no need to control the printer) just watch the print and if it comes off the bed can switch print off (reasses, start print anew,WHY).
At the mo' I check the print is still OK when I go to the toilet (Printer is in the spare room upstairs).
I would like to check every ten minutes or so that the print is still going and I wouldn't need audio, movement detection, camera swivel/pan or recording facilities.

The laptop running the printer (can't get the mini SD card reader on the printer to work) is VV old so I do not know if it has the chops to run the printer and its web-cam at the same time .
Not really wanting to go down the Raspberry Pi running Octoprint route so what does the panel think I should do

TIA

Octoprint is a game changer , lots of camera support, bed visualisation, upload files direct, I would highly recommend. If not a normal pet wifi camera from Amazon , comes with an app on iPhone u can view anywhere even when not home

Octoprint (you can run it on your laptop too) + Obico (formally Spaghetti Detective) are great.
Obico will also stop your print if it senses an error. I can't use it atm since I have 2 cameras and it only works with one (afaik, I haven't tried) but it's been great in the past.

I run octoprint on a pi 3b using a ps3 eye camera from cex for £2. Really is a game changer. Have it linked to telegram so can get regular snapshots or just on demand and also timelapses.
