Viewing Thumbnails via Windows Explorer

Hi - I would be grateful for advice on the following problem.

Recently, for an unknown reason, Thumbnails of pictures (e.g. JPEG) are no longer appearing.
Instead, on selecting "Thumbnails", a generic icon appears.
However, I can still view thumbnails for movie files (e.g. MPEG, WMA).

Any idea as to what I may have inadvertently changed.

Dont no what happened but Try a system restore point before this happened, assuming you have not done already that is.

isn't this related to a patch by MS recently WMF bug or something affects thumbnails.
