I have a very old Humax DVR freeview box that is rarely used now. - Along with that I have a Humax 340gb Freesat box (9000 I think )which is used a lot - It must be 10 yrs old now and it works fine - only problem we have is the menu system for looking up channels and conflicting recording - We are used to it being slow and everything but I now feel like buying a new one.
I have been looking at the Humax HDR1100S and doing a lot of searching comes up with about 50-50 for or against - it seems Sky users think it's slow and other users say it's OK. I think I would put myself in second section as I have never had Sky.
One thing I am not sure about is there is no display screen on the front of the 1100 or any on/off light ( there is one on top I think)- I have a Samsung DVD player like that and it does pee me off a bit.
Is there anyone with views that might encourage me to press the buy button.
