Waiting for this to come from OC, anyday now hopefully: -

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...force-rtx-3080ti-pro-gaming-pc-fs-1el-og.html

Modded a bit of it including: -
- Swapping out the RAM for Corsair Dominator DDR5 64GB
- They couldn't give me the RTX 3080 ti card so swapped it for the MSI Suprem X RTX 3080 TI 12GB
- Storage wise went with WD Black SN850 SSD (Gen 4) 2TB for primary and WD SN750 SSD (Gen 3) 2TB for secondary

Also went with the LG 27inch GP950-B monitor and a new DAS Root mechanical keyboard

Thoughts?

Also OC - hurry up!

Thats an epic gaming rig, hope you enjoy it.

I think it will seem very oudated next year, probably be a mid range pc by then, once all the new stuff comes out.

also over speced and you don't need anywhere near 64gb of ram for gaming or that cpu.

but if your that loaded your probably used to buying stuff merely because it's expensive and don't really care

That's a bit rough, OP may have saved up for years?
Only issue is as a self build you could get 90% of that gaming performance (12700K/3080ti FE) way cheaper.

He is entitled to his opinion, I mean I disagree with him about it! ;) especially the assumptions he makes about me but some people like to just throw stuff out there for a debate/row

Anyway, I agree with your point I could get it cheaper, especially if I selfbuild, my issue is being time poor and not trusting myself to break something! lol

On the point about being over-specced and mid-range by next year I'd have to disagree anyway. My current machine (A desktop replacement gaming laptop) has served me well for the last 6 years with no need to upgrade, until this year when the processor became the bottleneck (I-7 Skylake) and that is the only part that cannot be upgraded. The I-9 12900 series is going to be the foundational processor for a fair while yet and the 3080 TI has been shown to be on a par and sometimes better than the 3090 card, with 4 series coming at some point this year and chip issues expected to still be a problem with supply I don't see this machine being anywhere near mid-level for a while yet, happy to revisit this time next year!

Aye, it will last for years ;)
My only minor criticism is the psu in your build. For that dosh maybe a 1000W platinum would have enabled a bit of headroom if you are overclocking cpu/gpu. Still that Asus is a good unit.

Yeah I did think about that but spoke to one of the guys on the OC support team and he said its a pretty solid PSU, and with the out the box overclocking on this I doubt I'll need to push it too hard for a while at least
