Looking at one of these but I can't find anything about it except a few bad opinions and experiences

Is it even rear exhaust?

Usually no reviews means it's not very popular

I think it's front and back exhaust, there are vents on the bracket but whether it all vents out the back I don't have a clue.

VTX is one of the cheap brands though.

There is a 6950 IceQ X PLUS 2GB for sale in the members market, it's not rear venting but afaik, it is a pretty cool running card, you could try a cheeky offer and down clock it for even less heat if that's any help.

i dont think i can have a 6950 due to th length, and i was really hoping for a rear exhaust because of this..my case

Just saw another 6950 that may fit in the members market:

'The cards are 10.2" long, the shortest 6950 money can buy which is why I purchased them in the first place, had card length restraints in the case I was using at the time.'

It's not rear venting but it's a bargain if you can take the chance with the temps.

Think I know the one you mean

If I got that I think I would get the reference one out of my main pc and swap them. Really don't know if the Htpc can take the length of the 6950 ref though

Personally I would put the XFX in the Htpc and mod the case to keep it cool, like custom fit fans to vent air out the case.
