Viewsonic 17" Question

Hi guys i have a Viewsonic VX724 with a 7800GT Xtreme, and @ 1280x1024 i can only run it at 60Hz. Is that normal becuase with my 17" CRT it will run a lot higher, and my freind has a 17" and he can run his TFT with a higher Hz rating.

Any ideas?

TFT's are designed to run at 60Hz anyway and it is the recommended and optimum setting for them. No need to run higher, they dont operate in the same way as a CRT does
