Hi

I have recently purchased the viewsonic 120hz monitor and was very pleased using it for the last week or so.

I turned my monitor off for 5mins while i popped upstairs and i come back and turn it on and theres verticle lines running down my screen. So i changed it back in 60hz and its fine. Reading up on it people are saying there are problems with the 2D clocks being too low on ATI cards which can cause issues running at 120hz. But i dont understand how it can work fine all week and then suddenly happen like this.

So i have downloaded the MSI afterburner but can't work out how to just overclock the 2D speeds. Also why has this just suddenly happened now? could there be a fault with the DVI cable as it look like its only running on single DVI. Could the monitor be faulty?

clocks speeds in windows are showing as GPU=157 and Memory=300 and i dont overclock the card at all. When running with 2 monitors the clock speeds are 400 1200.

Any suggestions on how to get this fixed?

I have a ATI 5770, catalyst 10.2, and the viewsonic.

please help!

10.3a drivers didn't make a difference.

I had to edit the ATI profile .xml files and increase the 2D clocks manually. All curruption stopped once the memory clocks were put up to default 1200.

Fingers crossed for a fix from ATI in some future driver release.
