Phoned viewsonic 4 weeks ago, because my VX912B had stopped working. There reply was, sorry got no monitors in stock to replace yours with, nothing we can do for you.

Called again today, same response. Some warranty this is, not happy at all been forced to buy a new monitor (non-viewsonic) and bare the cost myself.

Anyone else experienced problems with them? It was bought 2.5 Years ago, when they had the proper warranty not the RTB 2year thing they offer now :(

i know that feeling since buying a vx2025 last november I had gone through 6 monitors until they offered me a replacement.

Just keep on at them and they will eventually cave in. If phoning doesn't work send them an email.

You generally seem to get better service when you email them than on the phone.

shocked, always heard good things about them, one of my 20" widescreens needs to go back, the DVI port has died, hopefully i will have more joy!

I would never buy another Viewsonic monitor, my VP930 became faulty after exactly 12 months, after contacting them they sent a refurbished replacement that was totally unusable having a flickering screen after it had warmed up, contacted them again and there response was we do not send out faulty monitors they are all checked before being sent out and we will need you to send photos of the fault before we will replace it again, which I did, never heard anything for 3 days so I rang them to be told we don't have any in stock and don't know when we will be getting any, we will ring you when we get one. I wasn't satisfied with their disgusting service so I emailed the managing director and told him everything, the next morning I got a reply saying he was personally going to look into the matter himself, within a couple of hours I get a phone call from the service manager saying we don't have the 19 inch monitor in stock and would I accept a 20 inch instead, which I did and it arrived the following day. If I hadn't contacted the managing director I am convinced it probably would have never been sorted out as their customer service is terrible.

yeah it is a pity as I had always thought that viewsonic was a good brand but I certainly will never buy another one again as I have had far too many problems with it. I have just had to contact them again regarding my replacement monitor which I have had just over 3 months. So just waiting to see what happens from that.

Well i phoned them again today and they just are so useless! Am preparing them an email to get to them, Ive loved my monitor for the 2.5 years its worked. Just completly let down by poor poor customer service!

Ill keep this thread updated with progress. Try give the full story of viewsonic

Well speaking to someone, I thought id be protected under the the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002. (link here) but im not sure if it applies to a non-uk company.

I'm another person who wouldnt touch a ViewSonic again, my old, old ViewSonic VP220 (I think) was PLAQUED with faults from the get go, the customer service is so sucky I just bought a Dell 2407 after that... now on a 3007.

Viewsonic monitors are pony, avoid like anything!

TomH, you might do a lot of people a lot of favours by posting the Managing Director's e-mail here, or get it put in one of the stickies!!

The guy that I emailed was [email protected] President and Managing Director,
it's worth a try just to let Viewsonic know how bad their customer service is and how rude some of their staff are.

Not many of these large companies are U.K companies, but they should still have to abide by U.K law if selling their goods in the U.K.

As im aware companies registered in UK have to trade under UK law.

Registered No: 3131161, registered in England and Wales.

Had a friend whos Viewsonic died after about 8 months. He had to send it back at his own cost. After a fortnight he called them to find out what was happening, to be told they'd not looked at it yet. Another couple of weeks, he called again to be told they'd diagnosed it but not repaired. Another four weeks later it came back repaired.
