Thinking of buying, what would YOU go for

The Viewsonic VA1912W or the Acer AL1916WS

Both 19" and widescreen. - What is the better monitor? Thanks

I'd go for the Hanns-G currently at £140 from here, it's the better than any of the widescreen monitors that are priced much higher than it.

Anyone know about the dead pixel policy on these?

Review

I recieved today, at 9:50 in the morning, skipped breakfast and took it out of its packaging. It was very well wrapped, with the following items :
Dvi Cable
VGA Cable
Speaker Cable
Monitor of course

Cd and Manual
Power cable

I got it set up, had to move pc upstairs, there was no dead/stuck pixels, as checked with pixel buddy and a similar program. The sizing is great, had to fiddle with the settings at first, however the resolution was automatically 1440*900 when it was turned on. The OSD has some nice features and doesnt lack much if not anything. I gave it a wirl in Cs source, and I couldn't see any ghosting or any other types of problems. It was a step down from my 21" crt however, I cant really much of a difference apart from the space available. I give this monitor overall *****! Buy one now !
