Viewsonic VA2012W-2 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Silver/Black

I got the viewsonic wa2010wb 20.1" recenly, for £200 and its really nice, not as cheap but does have DVI and 5ms response time. Slight off white at the very extremes but overall im happy.

Reckon I should have been of commission for these tbh, as I'm pretty sure that I must have helped shift a few by pimping them over at that site which ocuk aren't too fond of.

What do you say Gibbo, R600 for half price or what? :p
 
No fair!! I was going to order those two but the stupid visa confirmation doesn't work in Firefox.. by the time it'd filled in my details in IE, one had gone! Anyone know when there'll be more in stock?

me too. Gibbo will have to pull his magic again soon. I want one before my GF comes back on friday and say "what do you mean? I've had a 20" WS LCD for ages, dunno why you thought I had a 19"CRT?!" and then look at her like she's gone a bit crackers.

Got phone call back but they have none in stock at the moment - strange viewsonic dont have their own monitors in stock :rolleyes:

the lady said they will probably have some more by the end of next week :(
 
I'm not sure what strings were pulled where, but I now have a pair of these lovelies and a (second) NVidia 7800GT winging their way to me! Woohoo!! New toys :D

If youre planning to use SLI, yoy do know that you cant run dual monitors whilst in SLI mode?

Do we all have to lie about upgrades?? Thought it was just me, telling my wife the new comp im building will cost "about £300"...

Yep, i do as well. most the time tho she dosent notice as the new bits are inside the case, but she did notice the bnew monitor lol

Yeah, I'm well aware of it, but that doesn't bother me to be honest. You can switch between modes without rebooting and I've found a VB script that will do it without having to fiddle with menus.

One thing I'm curious to try is what happens if I try and run in non-SLi mode but bridge across the displays and then play a game at ~4500x1050 :)

That's good to hear, as my sisters VA2012W has started to randomly turn itself off and it'll only turn back on after being unplugged from the mains for 5 minutes. :confused:

She's faxed the invoice to Viewsonic and is awaiting a new unit to be delivered next week, I hope they don't replace it with your old one though, lol. :D

Good Luck. If the caller says the day then pack it straight away because she said 48 hours to me but it came in less than 24hours and i didnt have it packed - luckily the courier waited.

Dunno why i was told to keep all cables aswell because i got a complete new set - pretty pointless.
