Viewsonic VA2216w 22" any good?

The Viewsonic VA2216w 22" 5 Ms is a pretty nice looking model but what about the specs?

Is 2ms really recommended for gaming ?

I use the computer for watching Movies(HDtoo),gaming and music.

My setup is - Q9450 12mb cache cpu
4gb 800mhz reaper ram
OCZ ModXStream 780W Modular Psu
8800 gts (G92) OC
Dfi x 38

I have this monitor... love it except on really irritating dead subpixel after a few weeks.

Its fine for gaming, and its cheap (gotta be a bonus...)!

Go for it, just watch for the dead pixels.

I almost bought one of these from PC World £159.99. Tescos Direct have it for £139.99. Thing that put me off is that this is analog D-sub. There is no DVI connection on the screen. I would not go from a DVI screen back to an analog.

On my Viewsonic VX922, the difference between D-sub and DVI is noticible, text not as sharp. It also does a strange 'dance' as the analog signal adjusts when the resolution changes.

Wonder If you can swap the stand from the VX912 to the VA2216w, cos the vx912 stand looks much better then the stand on the VA2216w

I wonder if there the same hight?

Also just noticed the VX2240w, its about £50 more but it has both D-Sub and DVI-D, 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, and the bottom of the monitor is slightly curved
