Viewsonic VP171b problems

Hi, ive had this monitor for about 2 months now but over the past 3 weeks its been going very bright for 3 seconds then goes VERY dark as if the internal light has gone or something, it also makes a high pitches squeel before it goes. Turning it off then straight back on makes a high pitched squeel for about 3 seconds then goes back to the dark state, the only way to get it to come back is to turn it off for about 2 minutes which isnt helpfull when playing FPS or WoW

Abit KN8 mobo

ok cheers ill go try D-SUB, another monitor and on another PC. And i contacted viewsonic like 2 days ago and nothing so ill ring them up tomorow
