I got my VP930 replaced last week due to a silly amount of dead pixels, i had just settled into using the new screen when i noticed these evenly spaced horizontal lines appearing on black backgrounds.

Some games i play with vsync disabled at 75Hz (this reduces juddering a lot) and i've noticed these lines, after playing around i noticed that inside the lines was a mirror image of another part of the screen...a bit like overscanning on a crt.

This didnt happen on the one i sent back, I've got a worrying feeling it may be part of the updated panel in the new revision.

The new screen also came with one freshly dead pixel

Any advice?

I wouldn't hold your breath with Viewsonic, my 12 month old VP930 developed a fault (groups of pixels flashing on and off and changing colour) rang up support who said they would exchange it for a refurbished one but we don't have one in stock, anyway they finally rang to say they had one and would send it out, recieved it the next day, connected it up and it has a 2" vertical stripe of flashing pixels down the right hand side of the screen, I immediately rang them and was told that I would have to take photos of the monitor and of the packaging that it came in, as they said that a refurbished monitor has been fully repaired and tested at the service centre and that it must have been damaged in transit. They have said that they have recieved the photos by e-mail and it will take a day or two for somebody to take a look at them and then decide what to do next. I have now been without my monitor for 11 days and still no sign of when I will receive one that works properly. On the Viewsonic website it clearly states that this monitor is in the professional series and that the warranty on this monitor is a replacement within 48 hours to your door. I think that the Viewsonic CS is an absolute joke and feel certain that they are breaking the terms of the warranty agreement somewhere, I don't even think that they repair them, they just send them out to the next unfortunate customer.

I'm starting to feel something similar, this is my fourth vp930 from them...one thing they at least have done is get replacements out on time.

I'll end up getting it replaced again and the fifth one better be good or viewsonic can get stuffed.
